Data Security & Apple HomeKit

HomeCamera connects securely and directly to your Apple HomeKit ecosystem using official Apple frameworks (HomeKit). The app processes all camera streams, snapshots, and device data locally on your device or securely through your iCloud account. We do not operate, maintain, or utilize any third-party servers to proxy, process, or store your video feeds or smart home data.

Data Collection & Analytics

HomeCamera does not collect, log, or track your personal information or usage habits. Your smart home data belongs to you. No video feeds, home layouts, device statuses, or any other personal data is ever transmitted to us or external data brokers.

We do not use tracking frameworks and we strictly enforce zero telemetry tracking outside of Apple's default opt-in crash reporting.

Required App Permissions

To function as intended, the application requests the following permission:

  • Home Data: The app requires access to your Home Data to discover, display, and control your HomeKit-enabled cameras, thermostats, and fans. This permission is securely Sandboxed and managed entirely by iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device's System Settings.
